What can I do to my 1995 Mark VIII that would make it run faster but won't break the bank to do it? :F
I believe the masses would like to know:invasion:

First make sure your engine is in decent shape, make sure to have new wires, spark plugs, fuel filter and new Mercon 5 fluid for the tranny. Running a full synthetic oil helps free up some HP and makes the car run smoother. You can do the free/cheap mods like getting rid of the intake resonator and silencer. You could also have an exhaust shop remove your exhaust resonator and weld in straight pipe. All this stuff is basically free and will make an improvement in the performance.

Look on Ebay for used stuff. You can get a rebuilt 8.8 limited slip w/ gears for less than half of what you'd pay new. You can get or fabricate a cold air intake, or again, buy used.

Do what is suggested above and remove the resonator and use synthetic oil. I removed mine last weekend, and the Mark is now noticably better performing, especially at higher RPM.

But all-in-all, your best option is the spray. $500 and change...

I don't know if it helps the car go faster but you can increase your HP by putting in the tornado fuel saver. It is really easy to install. Watch out from the fake ones that are sold in pep boys. The real one has some fins.

there is a simple answer to this. spray it. cheap easy way to go is with nitrous. however make you're car go fast on all motor is something different and much more respectable. any idiot can throw nitrous on a car, hell my 92 dodge dynasty(pos v6 crap box) could beat a stock mark 8 with a shot of nitrous.. to me nitrous is the cheap way out, fun but cheap. hp=$$$$$

Mercon 5 Ha Ha Ha ya that is a bad Idea. If that is in a trans that it is not ment for V it will f#$K sh!t up big time. and A flush is not really a good thing to to unlsee you have to ATF is a harsh detergent. so pe carfull

Ford did a TSB and stipulated that Mercon 5 be used to stop the shuttering problem. It is the right thing to do.

shuttering problem on what year make and modle?
some may disagrey but form what ive seen its a bad idea, and if ford says it is ok, then I would want to know that when not if it my trans if dead they will pay the bill
better safe than sorry
also what shuttering problem??

I'm not trying to be antagonistic here. Do you have a Tornado in your car? And if so, what HP difference has it made? And have you measured the results in a dyno?

Well I have a fuel tornado in my continental, It helps in fuel area (22 mpg to 26mpg)

I did not went to the dyno but I seen it done to a ford explore. He had about 200 hp before the tornado and the result was 220 hp after the tornado. I am sure it gains some hp.
here is the website i bought it from. They reduced the price too now.

i'm sorry, but there is absolutely no way a fuel tornado added 20 whp to ANY motor.

that video is a complete crock. it's absolutely completely false that it added 10 hp to the rear wheels. totally completely false. i could make that exact same video.....an infomercial does not a true claim make.

my intention is not to insult you, i just don't see how it is legal to make such a blatantly false video.

I think I would buy a $50 thing to even raise 5 Hp and save some money on the gas. actually I saw this on stuff tv.

I saw that a few years back, and it was an infomercial. I thought it sounded like a good idea if it actually worked, but I am sometimes a sucker for infomercial products. I never buy them, I just think to myself "if I had 30 bucks to waste, I might buy that."
