What are the best gears...3:73 or 4:11

I'm running stock gears but drive train is up to @ 325 hp. I'm still not settled on the gears at this point. If I go 4:11, I would have to swap out the driveshaft. If I go with 3:73 It would be just that. Then someone mentioned 3:55 from a thunderbird SC. Any Ideas??? CHECK OUT M Y RIDE ON THIS URL

throw a High Stall converter in there, it really brings some more power out of the engine and to the wheels. I already have one, and 4:10's or 4:30's are next on my list... should be a hell of a combo
 
MMX driveshaft, and 4.10's.


You should also do a search for this subject. It's been discussed ALOT.
 
i would ddo the 4.10's
even with 3.73's you will probably need a driveshaft.. i know i do with mine..

SC's never came with 3.55 BTW.. 3.31 if you find a 94-95 SC auto car..
 
How do the 4.10's perform on the highway? My friends and I sometimes play when were on the highway late at night (midnight or later) and will occasionally hit 120+. I have 3.73's now and they are not too bad at all.

I have NO problem burying the speedometer in the 95. 4.10's with a Cobra intake. 3000RPM @ 80

Good to know, I cant have my friend in his GT passing me at 90+ because I run out of gear. Have too much fun pulling away on him, dont want that to stop at higher speeds. Cant have him think he can actually beat me. :N
 
4.88 gear with a 3500 converter , oh yeah 26 x10.5 et streets and a 200 shot
probably only go 120 mph , but get there pretty quick
 
If you are not going to go forced induction then go with 4.10 or higher, if you are planning on forced induction go 3.73. :Beer
