Powell OH!....................IO!
Officially what are the plastic pins that hold down the drivers side of the engine cover?

I was curious to see what the engine actually looked like undneath all of that plastic when I changed the oil and I took it off. In the process, I broke the 2 plastic pins that hold down the drivers side. I have been looking around the different online parts places but I don't exactly know what they are called.

Thanks in advance.

W705957-S300 or W706519-S300
Black Nylon
Radiator Sight Shield
Push-Type Retainer
Head Diameter: 24.5mm
Stem Length: 14mm
Fits Into 9mm Hole

My dealer gave me a few, after I broke a couple changing the cabin air filter, way back when. It took me a couple tries to figure out that you don't PRY them out. Eventually, I actually became smarter than the pins themselves.:D

Those were the wrong part!

I ordered Part#W705957-S300 or W706519-S300 from Team Ford. This part number is not what I was looking for. These were the plastic pin deals that hold the front shield on that goes over the radiator and headlights.

I need the pins that hold the Engine cover on. You know, the big plastic bonnet that says "Lincoln V8" on it. There is a rubber boot that holds the left side on, I need the pins (2) that hold down the right side. Anybody know the part # for these?

sorry about that - I just you are talking about hte ones with the 'push-in' centers. You can buy them at Autozone and Lowes alot cheaper than the dealer. I just took one with me.

Thats OK, I'm keepin the ones I ordered because I'm sure I'll lose one somewhere down the road:) I'll have to make a trip to Lowes tomorrow and see if I can't track some down. Thanks again
