I am going to replace my fuel pump before it desides to go out on it's own and was wondering what GPH is recommended. I noticed that there are two basic one to choose from, the 190 and the 255. Is one better than the other? Is the bigger one overkill for a basically stock engine. I plan on installing a chip, K&N, intake tube mod, ice box, and exhaust. I don't think I will ever do much else. Any way, what do you all recommend?

Thanks.

I would say with just minor mods stick to the stock pump GPH for that application. Unless you would be pushing boost or a pretty crazy N/A motor no need for anything better then a (New)stock one. Also yes it is a good idea to change the pump if the car has over 75,000 miles on it...pumps do wear out...That way you know you will be getting good fuel pressure at all times...well hopefully :wrench

Hell, for the price difference, I'd go with a 255lph pump...That way, if you/when you start modding the motor, you ownt have to worry about the punp again.

I went with a 255LPH/HP pump. I hope Geno's AFPR will hold up to it.
