I know that I am going to sound old when I say this, but when I was a kid my dad and I would go to the local car show where they would rent out the fair grounds for the entire weekend. The car shows along with the swap meet would fill the entire fair grounds, there would be Elvis impersonators, games for the kids, a big trophy presentation, 100+ cars. I went to this same car show this year and it was in the back corner of a nearly abandoned strip mall parking lot. The swap meet was about a dozen trailers, and there was about 50-70 cars through out the day. Has anyone else noticed this, is it different from state to state.

They are a little smaller this year car craft was only 4500 cars or so
1000 shy of last year back to the 50s was a little smaller too at about 11000 cars
The twice monthly show in Hastings hasn't had a showing like last year along with the weekly anoka
Show but the north St Paul weekly show is about the same size as last year maybe 50-100 less

the economy happened. everyone either has no job and no money, or a job where they work all the time to make ends meet.
