Can someone tell me what this is? I read about it in a thread where a guy's car was losing power at 3-4k range and someone said it was likely the LMRCs

Thanks

IMRC's would be the term. Intake Manifold Runner Controls. Fancy term for little flapper type thingies that flip open or closed like a valve to open up the second 2nd of air intake runners. We have 16 runners going into the head. Only 8 are open below 300 rpm. They look like this.

above should read 3250 (3000 range) RPM, not 300rpm
if your losing power up there, and your not getting a CEL, the IMRC's are most likely really gummed up with carbon/oil.
