I'm getting 4 new Disc (slotted and crossdrilled) in the mail in the next few dayz.

What type of pads should I get ..... Hope fulling not too much $$$$ . The guy I got the Disc tried to sell me some for $200 for all 4 pads

So I'm looking for some medim priced pads

also what special tools will I need , (the monster size alen rench)

Hawk pads are nice. They stop well and leave little dust. Reasonably priced at $65 from the TireRack...

Napa has a set of Ceramic compound pads. I've had NOTHING but good luck with them. No dust and fade free stopping power, and I think I paid 65 bucks a set with my discount. BTW, I hate Autozone, and every brake pad that they sell. Iv'e gotten nothing but junk from them, and a bunch of static from them when trying to make it good.

(You would think you want to keep a 1200 dollar a month customer happy) Typical for a Walmart owned buisness.

AutoZone is owned by Wally-World? Sheeeyut, I didn't know that...

What ever pad you get, use the same kind for future changes & don't forget to break the rotors in before you go & test them out. Didn't know AZ is owned by WM, thanks for the input. This will help with future decisions. Ed

AutoZone, which has made a big move in Southern California during the last year, is known as the Wal-Mart of the auto parts industry.

AutoZone of Memphis, Tenn., a public company with almost 2,000 locations in 38 states, reportedly is buying several sites in the area.

Damn......I was just passing info along before I checked it out myself. But owned my walmart or not, I still wish every one of thier stores would burn to the :q:q:q:qING ground. I went so far as to cancel my buisness account with them, and will never go back.

I'm just waiting for someone from corperate buisness accounts to call me back.

i bought hawk HPS for the front of my car this week - i'll let you know how they work out.

any recco's for rear pads? green stuff?

Brake pads

I can also testify to the effectiveness of the NAPA Ceramix pads. They are great. I would reccommend that you also consider replacing your rotors as well with a good quality rotor such as TRW (heavier wall and webs), especially if you were having pulsating brakes. Be sure to follow the brake in procedure to seat the pads. No more pulsing.
