i must rant, this sucked balls. this week i worked about 60 hours on the clock plus another 7 off the clock included in that was 8 hours yesterday, saturday, and this morning i woke up around 7:30 am and layed there trying to decide, stay in bed and watch the power block, or go outside and work in the yard at my new house, i made the WRONG choice. outside i went around 9 am. started with some raking, picking up crap here and there, mowed the grass, fired up one of my edger's that didnt want to run, got in the car and went to my shop for my good edger, then weed wacked, now here is where the day went to hell, last week, verizon came in to install the FIOS, mr. jackass wire put'er in'er sliced one of my irrigation pipes, fine, i'll fix it, i grab my hatchet to cut through the grass and roots and dig up the pipe so i can fix it and SMACK, i hit the main water pipe coming in from the street, OMFG you have to be kidding me, i got blasted, mud and dirt all over me and water shooting higher than the peak of my garage roof, i'm running around trying to figure out how to stop it, finally i grabbed pliers and opened the cover on the meter near the road and shut the main knob off. jesus christ!!!!!!!!!!!! not only is it easter, but its my only day off now i have to play joey the plumber.
so now i dig up half the side of the garage, run to home depot, grab everything i need, or so i think, go back home, didnt get everything, go back to home depot, get more stuff, get the main feed fixed, good finally, go to fix the original problem, the sprinkler pipe, dont have what i need, 3rd trip to home depot, the lady says to me usually you come once and get everything you need, lady, i am in no mood today, dont open your mouth or you'll be spitting out teeth if i hear another comment like that lol!!!!!!

so finally around 7 pm i was all finished, showered and changed and sitting in the garage slamming a beer trying to kill my headache, it was a good beer but didnt get rid of my headache, now i have to be up at 5:30 for work again, what a sh***y sunday!!!

Well, that sucks.

At least it's fixed. When I read the thread title, I thought you guys were gonna have to move again!
 
That's God's way of telling you "Take a F**king break!" next time you have a day off, and you get the sudden urge to do something productive.... STOP! take a good long look at the week that just went by, what you did the last time you decided to do something "productive", and go back to sleep, when you finally wake up take a moment to plan out your next day off for some chores. go get the tools you need, put them in the garage, then go have a beer and relax.
 
Still better then having to deal with family, I was forced again to look for Easter eggs, I'm 24 for God’s sake (needless to say I found 1)! I would rather be working at home! Good story though, at least I’m not alone when everything comes crashing down! Hire a Plummer next time!
 
yeah those main lines have a crap load of pressure.!!! Lucky you thought of of a way to stop it. I would have just stood there looking at it and said "damn"..

Jamie: Man am I glad all that crap wasn't going on when my wife and I stopped by to meet you and so you could see my MARK. WOW!!! I hope Home depot was close by there on 19. We're back up north now,,getting our Ice Cream trucks ready for the season,,it's 45 this morning,,rainy,,53-54 later in the day. I'm gonna have you install the HID system,,as we talked,,next fall if the Lord's willing and the creek don't rise. You told me that MARK BODY that was setting there was going to be smashed.
