I have a '00 LS6 with 145K miles. Just recently put new O2 sensors and cleaned & re-oiled the air filter, have brand new front tires and 2-year old rear ones. On long trips I get 21-22 mpg, and locally, which is still mostly highway, I get 17-18 mpg. My friends' trucks give them better mileage! I mean, is normal for LS6? What do your cars get?

I have a V6, and right now I'm gettin about 16-18 mpg. It's really low right now because of constant snow and I have my heaters constantly blowing. In the summer though its pretty good usually 17-21 mpg.

03 V8 50k miles I'm right around 20-20.5 with mixed driving, but I'm not usually running the heat or ac this time of year...

Oil on the filter will reduce power and mileage. I got to the point where I would clean my filter often but not put much oil on it.

2004 v8 with 40000 miles and i get bout 16.5 around town with getting on it a little also with 20s

I can manage 24-25mpg on the highway if I keep it around 70mph (it's less in the winter; damn winter fuel)...

Usually 17-19 city mileage

03 v8

I can't understand why LS's mpg is so low. I remember having a '94 Mark VIII with its powerful 4.6 V8, and it gave me 22 mpg mixed and 25 mpg highway. Of course that was 4 years ago when it was straight gasoline, not "gasohol" (10% ethanol), plus you never know what they might add to gas now that the prices are insane :(

'04 V8, with 49K...17-18 around town, and I just went to the coast...404 miles, at a respectable 23.8mpg. This is with a K&N 57 series FIPK.

I saw 25.5 from ATL to NYC last November on a stock tune doing mostly 85mph on the 800 mile trip.

I do mostly city driving and not really all that easy on it and it shows 14.9.

i dont know how reliable the aguge is cuz my rear tail lamp is out and the dayum stus button still says rear lamps ok...:shifty:
