In Fredericksburg, Virginia, a progressive anti-war activist became so enraged at some internet Rethuglican chickenhawks that he found out where they lived, went to their house, and peacefully attacked them:

A Fredericksburg man was arrested Saturday on charges he assaulted three strangers at their home during a dispute over politics, police said.

According to a Fredericksburg police report, the suspect went to a home in the 900 block of Marye Street about 5:30 p.m. after finding one of the resident's name on a Republican Web site.

The resident and his two roommates engaged in a discussion with the suspect, though none of them had ever met or had contact with him before.

The argument got heated and the suspect learned that the young residents had not enlisted in the military and "put their all" behind the Republican-led war effort in Iraq, police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said.

The suspect refused to leave the home after repeatedly being asked to do so, police said. The three roommates were hit multiple times each as they attempted to get the suspect out of the door, authorities said.

The suspect continued to be aggressive and disorderly even after a city police officer arrived, the report states.

Andrew Stone, 23, was charged with three counts of assault and battery. A magistrate released Stone on his own recognizance and he was ordered to have no further contact with the victims.

It was not clear in the report what political agenda Stone was supporting.

If they couldn't eliminate the 2nd Amendment under Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, or the first two years of Clinton- do you think it'll be easier with a more conservative Supreme Court and a post-9/11 world?

Democrats don't even run on the gun-control issue in national elections anymore. I won't ever drop my guard. And for those interested, it's always worth getting your CCW, if they do change the laws, at least then you might be grandfathered in.

But on this point we are in total agreement. I have held a CCW for over 25 years. I do however believe that we will be faced with more attempts to take away the second amendment guarantees. And I believe that it will happen in the very near future.

There's an alarming pattern of this insanity on the left. This wasn't an isolated incident. At least every other week there's a story like this in press. There is this insane, activist streak on the left that often manifests in violence.

Don't believe me- go to a Republican event, stand silently outside with a liberal sign. Maybe someone, out of the thousands, will call you name. For the most part, you'll be left alone.

Do that at a leftist rally. If you fail to respond to the physical intimidation, you will quickly find your sign destroyed, and likely you'll be physically assaulted.

I've been to more than a few 'foaming at the mouth' leftist rallies. I usually take the non-confrontational route: ie, I don't wear a Bush t-shirt but I mix in the crowd and take my pokes and jabs. I'd make a ketchup comment or something like that and the people around me would start frothing. Usually a feminist would take control (missing a few teeth usually also) and I would have to dodge her drool. People on the Left are totally out of control and way more violent. I've been in the thick of it. I know.

You'd never be caught dead in a Republican/Conserv rally. But then again, I bet you'd never go to a lefty rally either. You just sit back like the frog in the slowly-warming water, content to watch your country erode away under your webby feet.
