Need to do the coils because I been having serious misfires. I want to do the wire too with the spark plugs but can't find them anywhere don't even know what brand to look for. Would appreciate some help. 04 v8 sport

well for starters, there are no spark plug wires...

as with most cars built in the last decade+, instead of using a distributor or a coil pack, the LS uses "Coil On Plugs"

the reason they call them that, is because the coil is ON the plug, therefore, there is no wire needed.

And the 12v wires going to each of the 8 coils is part of the whole engine harness, so you're not really going to replace those either.

I swear they do it on purpose just to make my head hurt.

I need a tissue....and not for my radio.

I initially thought it was going to be one of those question barrages to try to get more visibility, but I actually like what that guy did. He provided an answer to what may be every relevant thread. They'll all just silently float into archive purgatory and potentially help the people that search.

Hite, come on! you can't just be rubbing one out on a public forum like that!

Thats a good point...

It was a decent (and I use the term loosely) solution. It was just funny how many times he posted it.

I will rub one out where ever I feel like rubbing one out! Hang on...be right back.....

I was going to answer the OP with.....

The same place you get an LSE bumper cover.... Or a unicorn......

So, I assume he hasn't actually ever opened the hood and looked at the engine...

My first car had COPs. My dad had spark plug wires for his first 35+ years of driving. I had to explain to him last year that spark plug wires were not routine maintenance on my LS, nor his owned-since-new 02 Taurus. He still suggested I try to find a replacement harness...

He's done plenty of car maintenance in his time, but some things just aren't obvious if you've only known one thing and had it repeated by everyone. He also wanted fatter tires for snow and thinks hi octane burns cleaner in an 87-recommended car. I convinced him on skinny tires, but I'm never going to win the octane debate.

well it is a Lincoln...

any car that doesn't have a light under the hood was never meant for an owner to ever get dirt on his hands...
