I want to hook up my audio system without changing my stock Alpine 6-disk for now. And the only way that I can do that is by intercepting the RCAs to the stock amplifier and rewire it to my new amplifier. Can anyone help me and just give the general location so I can install some bumps!?

The one for the center console speakers is somewhere under the dash (IIRC, drivers side), the main amp is internal to the radio and the amp for the rear deck subs is between the subs, in the enclosure.

How do I know if I have subs, because to my belief I dont have them. Is there anyway I can hook up my system w/o putting in a new deck?

i did it, you need the 8" Speaker-level input harness that comes with the amp you buy for the subs. Now go in your trunk and look up youll see a silvr amp. There is you stock amplifier. Connect the harness to the stock amp (i dont know how, i had it dont for me sorry) and then plug the harness into the amp on the subs and hook up the rest like you would. The 8" Speaker-level input harness is what connects the stock head unit to the subs. BUT CAUTION if you do this DO NOT i repeat DO NOT put you bass on the head unit. i blew an amp that way but im not sure if it was b/c the stock amp was stronger than the one i had on the subs. I will post pics when i can to help you out.

Pics would be more than a help! Well I just went in my trunk and the rear deck is completly bare! I dont even have rear 6x9s for some reason? And when you get the time take a picture of this 8" harness so I have an idea of what your talking about. I don't mean to ask alot of questions but this is an expensive car and if I blew up anything I wouldn't be able to afford it for awhile. Any help is greatly appreciated.

u probably dont have the upgraded system, so i wouldnt really know where to start with that but i will give you pic of what i have, sorry i havent done it sooner but i have been doing major work to my LS but later this morning ill have time to give you pics.

here is how to hook up subs

First thing you need is a line level. It turns normal speakers into low level then plug in your rca's to the other end of the line level. You can get the speaker wires from 2 places easy. One is from behind the deck. If you are doing just subs take the two solid wires coming off the line level and put them together and hook them to one of the rear speaker positive. Do the same with the two striped ones and put it to the negative. You can tell what speaker is what by getting the harness and plugin it in and grabbing the wires on the factory side of the harness. Or you can test them with a low voltage battery. Dont do this unless you are experenced with car audio. Or you can use a voltage meter and test the ohm's. Or you can take apart the b-piller and grab the wires going into the door. They are usually twisted together. Do the same thing with the line level as i said earlier. If you are hooking up a 4 channel you need two line levels and u have to use both sides (front/back, left/right). that should get you going.
