I have a set of Lincoln LS 17" wheels I am wanting to put on a 2003 Mercury Sable. Can anyone help me with which Lug Nuts I need for these wheels?

This is the lugs I think I need

Dorman 611-229

Can anyone confirm these are for these wheels.

Did all LS wheels take the same lugs?

All LSes have the same lugs. Yes, those are OEM-style lugs. However, be warned they have a tendency to separate. There is an 18mm nut with a 0.5mm shell (for a 19mm total size) that likes to separate and spin around the nut. Other than that, my 97 Taurus and LS have the same lug size, M12 x 1.5 (diameter x threads)

You can try lug nuts for an 88 Galant or 03 Sebring (I think). They use 21mm nuts with a chrome coating instead of stamped metal. Dormans tend to rust. I'm not sure what better alternatives there are.

you are thinking they bottom out before tightening against the wheel?
because i have not noticed any issues.
the lug nuts have been on the car for quite some time, and i have rotated the tires a few times as well.

also, surface rust confirmed.
but i will take that over the stripped out 2 piece lug nuts any day of the week.

I thought I saw something here 1 time that said the Cougar Lug Nuts were the best?

Ford XW4Z-1012-AA fit just great and are solid (one piece, no cover). The down side is that they don't look as great. They do not have a chrome finish, and the ends are open.

I think those are also the one like stock that strip the chrome cover. The discription says "stainless capped lug nuts".

Yeah it does say capped. I only ordered one to begin with back when I replaced all of mine. I called them to inquire and they assured me it's a solid one piece unit.

Upon it's arrival, it was as they stated. A solid one piece oem replacement, stainless and looks great. If you'd like some pics I have 5 brand new spare ones at home that I can snap a pic of.

Well I picked up 20 of the Dorman 611-229 from RockAuto for $1.47 each. I'll put them on tomorrow and let everyone know how the work. I'll coat them with fluid film to help prevent the rust. They are only going to be on with the summer wheels so it may not be an issue.
