which part number for heater blend control?

I have 2 different numbers? YH 1842 or YH 1768. Anyone have further information on this part for 98 Mark viii? You do know there was an original part number that continued breaking and a new improved part that fixed the faulty design?

You hope they don't. My last Mark I had warranty,the new part was available, but they installed the old part number. I had to replace it in order to save the $800 the dealer wanted to replace it.

Hey I'm back guys! driving my dad's mark 8 lsc collectors edition again.

Sorry for the bump but does anyone know if the redesign is stronger? I think mine just went and i'm waiting for when I have a nice warm day open to replace it. I read its recommended to strengthen it.

My original lasted 10 yrs the replacement from Max lasted 3 years... I reenforced the next upgrade part... It lasted 4 years so far... (knocks on wood)
