Ok, I have my 1 -2 Micron V up grade. Now what? I am only 1 week into my Mark but now that I know what I accutally purchased I want to start having fun.

Where do you start? or what do you start with?

I don't have hidden vault over flowing with gold to supply this hobby, but I would like to do some up grades to my 93 VIII.

Where should I start? I am not looking right now to do Sub 13 or even Sub 14. What I am looking for is enhanced preformance making my Mark a better and more efficient automobile.

The speed will come with time :nos: .

Cold air intake, Gears with full posi, Plugs/wires, modify your intake, exhaust... That's somewhere to start

I agree mostly with Jimmy below..I feel the most bang for your dollar will come from Cold Air and filter , Reprogrammed chip , free flowing exhaust ,and Gears 4.10s ..in that order , provided normal tune up parts are good...then :nos:
The single biggest performance bottleneck , is the exhaust manifolds , the fix is headers but they are also one of the most expensive mods..

Dont forget to lower the car too. Thats a free mod that makes the car look 100 times better, no more 4x4 Mark. :D

Good point Drifter , and how about an in depth cleaning , and a quality wax job ...Also free , or almost .. allot of work but gives a high (fun rating) and a great deal of satisfaction when complete...

Thanks, This give me a place to start. I don't just want to look fast. I like the way the car looks. I like the fact that you can come to a stop someone pulls up next and thinks they have all the power and you sit knowing that this coupe could take off and fly.

You don't need all of the glitter to go fast you need a what is under the hood plus a few extras under the car.

It's not how the car looks it's how it drives.

If there are anymore ideas out there :feed .

I am having fun this this Mark.

Thanks

there's about 5-10 different ways to lower it,the least technical of which(temporary)would be to cut your air ride switch in the trunk off, take 2 jacks, raise the front up 2 in.or so,and take another jack to your passenger rear(that's the side the rear sensor's on,one for back,2 for front)take it up about the same, then step back and cut the switch back on,should drop as much as you want it to,i'd count to 10 or 12 sec's.then you'll have to cut the switch back off,and leave it off before you unjack it or it'll raise itself right back up,that's the simplest way to get a nice even drop, and it's only temporary, once you flip the switch back on,it'll go right back where it was.but t

How do you lower the car? Remember I am green to some of this simple functions.
here are plenty of other, more permanant ways to do this too.

"-It's not how the car looks it's how it drives."

Nooooooooooo-. If that were the case I'd go get a Citroen DS21, like being on a cloud, or a Subaru WRX (shudder).

:p No, I don't want to be riding in something like that.

What I meant was when a hot dog in Grand Am slides up next to you looks over and smerks thinking that your an over the hill grandpa sitting in a over sized, under powered luxury car and then the youth in you takes over and you let him know he still needs to grow up LOL.

That's more what I mean. You don't have to have all of the flash on the surface. A spoiler and some glowing lights under your car doesn't make it fast. :D

Just because your chineese doesn't make you Bruce Lee :ban

Ok I'll stop!

DO us a favor Mespock -- when you do upgrades, take notes and pics --- Im building a tech section and need articles

1) If your at 75k or over do a load test for the fuel pressure. You have to have proper delivery for the car to react to mod's properly. If your pump is down on volume then your car will react horribly to simple mods.

2) Make sure your fuel filter is fresh too.

3) Make sure your plugs & wires are up to par as well.

Then your good to start some mods. You always want the car at the very least running to perfect stock specs before you start anything.

The typical easiest most cost effective mods are Chip, MAF Kit, Exhaust, TB Tube mod, crank pulley..etc. Please give me a ring or an inbox message if you need anything.

Thanks, this is very helpful. I will check with the dealer and see what he changed.

I still need to order an owners manual and tech manual. I see one up on eBay ends today I'll have to get it.

Thanks again

I will do this as I get ready to modify My Mark.

Right now it's getting the 1-2 accumulator installed. I am working on that right now. The dealer purchased the 1-2 accumulator for me. I have a good friend who is going to coach me through its installation. He has done this before, and I want to become more familiar with my Mark.

I will be looking into wiring soon so I will definitely be contacting Geno when I get to that point. I expect this fall.

Big project right now is to complete the project I tried to start on my Paintball Field. We had so much rain this spring I couldn't get anything done. I am about 3 months behind. :Bang

My Mark has help take my mind off that I can't get any equipment onto the field. Still playing with last seasons arrangements.

But it is starting to dry out if it doesn't rain anymore this week. Haven't gone one week with out rain.
