So lately I've been driving my LS more since there's no more snow here. I'm just trying to figure what's going on with starting it. I can't put my finger on it. Like it wants to start on the first time I turn the key in the ignition... but for me to get it stared its takes me to give it some gas and turn the key like 4 or 5 times... I replaced the battery and the alternator right before the winter and it was fine before I put it up for the winter time because I don't drive it during the winter. If you guys think you have any idea on what it could be I would really appreicate it. Thanks again.
 
Is it still very cold out? Did you put fuel stabilizer in? What octane did you put in before storing it?

If yours is a gen I, then the IAC is one suspect.
 
I'll try a new fuel filter today.... it was in a heated storage and I started it every 2 weeks while it was in there. But my LS is a gen I. I'll look into the IAC also
 
I had a stall issue with my gen 2. It also had a hard start. All I did was run lucas fuel injector cleaner through it and changed out the fuel filter. 20 dollar fix. My car doesnt stall and doesnt have the hard start.
 
I would recommend changing the oil in your car, if you haven't done so. Depending on the condition of your engine internals, a lot of times gasoline will mix with your oil (from the car not being driven for months) and cause all sorts of starting problems.
 
To see if you IAC valve is bad once you start the engine turn your A/C on max. When you do this you should notice the engine speed change when the compressor turns on. Then while the engine is running disconnect the IAC valve, if the engine speed doesn't change, should slow down, then your IAC valve is bad. Plug it back in and the engine should rev up, again if it doesn't change your IAC valve is bad.

You can try cleaning it with some brake clean, But I'd just replace it as it's probably toasted.
