I don't think that amount is out of the question considering a stock used motor with old gaskets will run you $500 on up. @ 750 I think it would be a decent deal if it's as described.

He does mentions it has a cobra crank, the rest of the rotating assembly is the same as any other Mark VIII unless it's the 03/04 cobra rotating assembly.

Seems like i fair price for a rebuilt engine with ported heads and cobra crank.

I had a rebuild quoted for my old 97 mark viii, the 3 local machine shops all wanted 3grand and that was a stock rebuild. If it has a full rebuild and he has receipts for getting the block machined, checked, bored, internal parts like pistons, rings, rods repalced etc etc etc... then that is a hell of a deal imo.
