Hello,

I need to know the actual mirror to mirror width of a 98 conti. I am in a position to pick one up cheap, but my drive way is only 84 inches in width. I am afraid that the car might be too wide. I have looked on wikipedia for the width but don't trust the acutal measurements as I did a test run with my wifes mazda 626.

Thanks,

Dinger

hope this helps..

1,869 MM is equal to about 74 inches. Not sure if that includes mirrors or not (does not specify) but worst case scenario is that the mirrors are NO MORE THAN 1 foot wide, so luckily you make it! :) Here is the site I got my info from:

Its MotorTrend so I imagine it is fairly reliable.

Just a quick question, does that Conti have the Driver ID button on the Message Center Control Panel, and can you select the ride of the car by going into the driver options? This is the most common thing people didn't upgrade to on the Continentals, and believe me, if it doesn't have the Selectable Ride (Plush, Normal, Firm) then it kinda doesn't ride all that nice all the time. (This is the way my 2001 is). It also depends on your roads. I live in New England and the roads are always wicked beat up. Just something you should check into, but if your getting a killer deal then I guess you won't mind.

Hope you enjoy the Lincoln! You should post some pics when/if you get it.
