comes with 17's? looking for a new rim/snow tire package I can swap out easily and prefer taller tires in the winter. will the 16" wheels clear my calipers, etc? thanks
I think any 16" wheel from the LS will fit, because some of the 00-05 LS had 16" wheels stock. The brakes are all the same I think on all models, so there won't be a problem with clearing the calipers.

Yes. As you know, the V6 models in 2003 came with 16-inch rims. AFAIK, the only difference in the wheel/brake setup is that the V8 models used aluminum rear calipers while the V6 models used cast iron.
One suggestion would be to buy a set of pre-owned 16-inch Lincoln LS wheels off eBay. Often you find these being sold by folks in California or Florida after they've "pimped" their cars and do not want to use stock wheels. You can probably get a good deal on them, and you do not have to worry about lug patterns, offsets, etc. Those would be a sure-fire "plug and play" setup for winter.
that's what i have. i bought 4 oem 16" rims and put 215-60-16 snows on. everything fits as it should. only problem is how "stupid" it looks after removing the 255-45-17's.
