Will overfilling coolant damage anything?

Hey again.I had the mark serviced today.Trans purge,Coolant change,Oil change to mobil 1 with the better modil one filter.I didnt pick it up yet he says everything is fine but he said he may have overfilled the coolant.He claims it wont hurt anything it will just seep out of the coolant bottle cap?I trust him and he has been in business a long time.Just wondering what you think.

I also think I got a pretty good deal on the work I got done.
Trans purge over to mercon V
Coolant flush and fill
Oil change to mobil 1 with filter
New idler pulley

Overfilling the coolant won't harm your engine, it will indeed simply purge the excess.
