Im new with the lincoln ls, im a teenager - just got my license and im looking to getting a 2002 lincoln ls from a family member.
I've been searching around for info on the LSE body kit.
Im pretty much in love with this type as seen in this picture. no other bodykit comes close for me.
But what im unsure if this type LSE bodykit will fit on a 2002 LS model.??
Will it or is it meant for 03-06 Models.
Also, where can i purchase this type of LSE kit(in the picture)? Location, store or website.

definitely will fit, probably some modifications need to be done to get the gen2 on the gen1. sure someone that has done it will chime in..

It can be done. I believe the only thing is that there will be a small, often unnoticable gap between the headlights and bumper. LSKoncepts.com will have just about anything and everything you can think of for this car.

the trunk lids are different between Gen1 and Gen2 - it is possible to have someone heat and re-shape the bumper cover to fit - but it's not a direct match.

the LSE version for the 2002 is very close to that kit - not sure they make them anymore - Ken at LSKoncepts will know for sure.

Yeah, definitely will NOT fit, not completely. There is a small but noticeable gap between the headlights and bumper cover in front, and the rear is a completely different design, the '02 LSE kit is a one-piece valence while the '03-'06 is a three-piece valence.

So how many LSE packages are there? I thought there were Gen 1 and Gen 2? Now I'm thinking there is a different one for 2001 and 2002? I was thinking the Gen 1 was just a valance that attached to the lower portion of the rear bumper cover, that has exhaust cutouts?

It WILL fit with some light modification. I did it.

There are only 2 LSE kits. One for the 2000 - 2002 models, another for the 2003 - 2006 models.

Wow, that looks radical.
Thats what i hope to achieve. Im in no position to talk but i think it'd look tight if you got rid of the orange there on the front lights. Just my 2cents
Now when you guys speak of Gen1 and Gen2.
DO you mean this to be gen1 and gen2 being the kit in the Pictured LSE above
Also, aside from the front bumper, will all the other 03-06 side LSE skirts fit on my 02 LS model

That is the Gen 1 LSE side skirts and rear, with the Gen 2 front end.

That is a first gen LSE. First gen bumper, first gen skirts, first gen rear valence.

All side skirts are interchangeable between all year LS'. The rear valence on the first gen will only fit the first gen rear bumper.
This is the second gen LSE rear valence

The non LSE valence is similar in that it is a 3 piece design, but it doesn't hang down quite as far. This valence should fit on the first gen bumper but might look strange because the first gen bumper does not have tail pipe cut outs.

Does the gen2 rear bumper fit on the 02 Lincoln in order for me to put on the second gen LSE rear valence

Not without swapping the trunk lid. It has been done, but it's expensive.

Do you have a rough idea of how expensive it would be..
Also by swapping the trunk lid, wouldn't that affect the stop lights? Maybe look wierd or would it still fit in nicely. Can i purchase the trunk lid from Lskoncepts or is there another site i must visit

offtopic but any of you converted you Lincoln LS to Standard from automatic? im kinda interested in it:)

Ford dealer can tell you how much. My guess would be 700 - 800 range.
The inner tail lights are not interchangeable between the two and the license plate surround is different as well.
Note the differences in the 2 pics above. The first is an 03+, the second is my 02.

No manual trans will fit for the V8 without some custom work and some money, but it can conceivably be done for the V6 if you got a donor car. Only the V6 was available in auto or manual.

So I wont need some kind of separate modification for the 03-06 trunk lid to fit on the 02 Model?
If you dont mind, can you tell me what the gen2 LSE body kit from Lskoncepts comes with..
Side skirts,
Rear valance,
gen2 front and rear bumper??
What am i missing and What did i list that does not come with it.
What did your LSE kit come with is probably a better question
By the way i appreciate the feedback.

First generation LSE bumpers are becoming harder to find everyday. They are not in production anymore. You can try checking on ebay or salvage yards but besides that your chances of buying one new are very slim. You can convert to the second generation LSE front end. Do a search as this topic has been covered extensively and recently also.

okay so i've searched all over for this and no one seems to have asked, or answered this question so here goes, do 03-06 LSE fog light brackets fit on 02 LSE bumper? i found 02 lse front bumper and fog lights but i cant seem to find the fog light brackets so i was wondering if this would work.
