It will fit but will not work. The only new style button one that will work is that from a 96. They look identical but have different internals.

are you sure? i don't remember what year mark i swapped into mine, but it works great.....

um...im not so sure it wont, but i know at the very least the 96-98's the outside temp button wont work. the internal rubber will keep falling out.

Only the 96 will work. The one you bought from me was from my 96.

I have a 96 unit in my 94 as well and everything works.

Other ford units will work also. Explorer, crownvic, grandmarquis, and alot of others. Just make sure they are 96 units.
