Ok, i did a search and came up with the answer to my problem. My window regulator broke on my driver door. I heard the crunching noise when i tried putting it up. I took the dooor panel off and saw a broken peice of plastic by the back of the door, looks like it i has something to do with keeping it on the track. Anyways my question is. Does the whole window have to come out to fix the regulator. When the door panel is if there is a big sheet of metal bolted to the door and the window is bolted to the back of this. On the front of this metal is the speaker and a black box the the harness's plug into. It looks like it should unbolt and come off. Any advice on how to go about fixing this would be appreciated. Lincoln wants 375 to fix it.

ive been waiting for an answer for a while now. no one seems to wanna help on how to fix this yourself.

I have not had this problem on the LS, but typically you can tape the window in the up position and work on the regulator with just the door panel off.

But like I said I haven't messed with the LS and I think there is a metal panel in the way in someplaces. You might have to lower the window until the rod and broken roller are accessible.

On a chebby, it is a $1 plastic roller put in place of the broken one. If you can find the rollers, you don't have to replace the whole regulator. Be careful, the inside edges of most doors is razor sharp and you will get bloody if you aren't careful.

Good Luck,
