i need a blk 98 seat adjuster module and the seat adjuster bezel (that hides the foam and whatnot) i dont know how much they go for but i can trade any parts from a 95 lsc. thanks.

no i switched out the seat track for my 95's i did need the seat ajustment switches but i managed to solder mine back together, i just need the plastic piece that the seat adjustment button module (thing) screws onto.

95 and 98 seat tracks dont interchange electronically, they are much different. i dont think the switches are going to help you.

the rails and the motors are the same, i thought someone so knowledgeable in mark viiis would know that? all you have to do is switch out the electronics, dont tell me i am the first to do this?

i never had to mess with tracks, mine always worked!! i sell parts, i dont experiment.

I think I've got a switch bezel that's got some cracks in it? Are you interested at all? Let me know and I'll dig it out and inspect it more closely.

when we dont want to pay 100 bucks for a new seat track we inspect a little more carefully, i have seen you say that the gen ones dont interchange electronically with the gen 2's now you can start saying they do as long as you switch the wires and memory module, that's cool now you learned something from a noob.

98lincmk7lsc that sounds fine as long as all the mounting still is intact, and the cracks are not too noticeably large.

what other parts from your tboned 98 do you have? i need a couple little things. or do you just have the seat plastic?

i dont think i have ever seen anyone post anything about them interchanging, that is good to know though now maybe i can sell more driverside tracks !!!

i would do a write up but its pretty simple,

gut first gen seat down to seat rails and motors only
put second gen electronics in it.

magic.

also looking for the little light cover on the driver side door, 98lincmk7lsc?

jamie i also claim half the sales profit of any first gen seat track used for a second gen mark, its only right....

I don't have any parts from that car, unfortunately. :( That was like 6 years ago, and at the time, I didn't know that you could buy cars back from ins. companies. Didn't have a place to put it then, anyway. I wish I had known/or had been able to buy it back. That car was perfect. It had 80k+ miles, but it looked like 8,000 miles. Oh well.

Anyway, most of the parts that I have are from cars that I've found in junkyards around my area. I usually try to buy up anything that's commonly broken or is discontinued/no longer available. Give me a list of what you need/want and I'll see if I have what you need or know where to find it.

how much or are you looking for any parts from my 95? driver side mirror 98?

Sorry, but I don't think I need anything from a 95. I've got about 7 or 8 friends in the area with Mark VIII's, but only one of them has a gen 1. What is the color combo of your 95?

I'll have to think about prices for that stuff and I'll PM you.

Also, what do you need for the mirror? If you just need the mirror lens cuz it's all hazy, I can fix that. You can send me yours and I'll fix it and send it back. Or, if you need to drive the car, I can send you a fixed one if you'll send me yours after you receive the 'new' one.
When I'm done with them, they're crystal clear. They don't autodim anymore, but they do still heat up.
I would like to have your old one so that I've always got the ability to do this. I met a couple of the Mark VIII guys that I know in this area by approaching them about their hazy mirrors. I show them what I can make it look like and they've all liked what I showed them. I think I've done 5 or 6 of them now.
I've also got a good condition auto-dimming mirror, but I would want more $ for that.
