I need a programmable chip for my 93 Mark VIII

Preferably a SCT 6600

I also need the hood release bar for a 93 Mark VIII

I've got an entire mark viii motor with a rod knock and a good condition 93 shortblock

Both teksids, 6 bolt cranks if anyone needs any parts

Check ebay.. there is a seller that has more than 10 available.
he sells them with a 179.00 buy it now price.

if you get one from an sct dealer they will be 200+ because SCT charges the dealers 200 for the chips.

With that said, once you get a SCT 6600 how are you going to get a tune file onto the chip?
Unless you get a used chip that has your PCM catch code already burned to it, your gonna still need a SCT dealer to write the tune file to the chip.

Im associated with a shop that has all the tuning software and chip burning software for SCT.

yea I've got it as well, which is why I asked..
Didn't want you to get in over your head..without any way to write a tune file to it.

hell they should be able to get you a chip..right?

that ebay seller would probably be the cheapest route.

BE forwarned.. there are alot of "dead chips" floating around due to a new software program that pulls files out of the chips...there are guys pulling the files off the chip and in the process they are killing the chips...so be careful buying a used one.

Friend of mine paid 100.00 for a dead one about a year ago...and there are ALOT of them on ebay that are likely DOA as well.
it's fairly easy to HOSE one of those chips...they are very easily killed by static "ESD".

And if the key was ON when the chip was pulled..it's DEAD.

Where is Lawrence?
