Ok a week ago the car started pouring smoke through the heater vents, dealer said to my mom "THERE IS NOTHING WRONG THTA IS IMPOSSIBLE STOP COMPLAINING AND DRIVE THE CAR". Flashforward here the car did it again last night at 3 am, this time i had to pull over let the car calm down and on startup check engines flashing and the car is shaking so bad like a death rattle. Between the speeds 35-40 it jerks like no other! Yes I know its a coil but what do i say to them for denying my car telling me its fine when it seems oils leaking from the valve cover gaskets! We are already going for a lemon law arbitration for 5 power steering pumps and now that they denied to fix the car i feel like this win is in the bag but what do i do today? We know were calling and flipping out for there little comments a week ago. But what else should we do

Bring it back and have them read the codes. That'll tell them that something IS wrong.

Have someone like AutoZone check the CEL codes and not clear them, then go to the dealer. That way you will know if they are telling you the truth, then go from there.

Take it to the 2nd closest Lincoln dealership, have the repairs done and send a copy of the work order to the original place. "Nothing wrong, huh? You just lost a customer."

It's a Lincoln, of course they'll do the work. You'll have to pay for it out of pocket, but they'll do it.

If it's under warranty...................

I bought it from stevens KIA so i dont know if a lincoln dealer would do the work?

they have to work on it if they are an Lincoln Authorized dealer. If you take it to an Lincoln Authorized dealer and they refuse to work on it, contact Lincoln.

Never bring your car to a cheap dealer, always go to a Ford/Lincoln Dealer, they'll tell you straight up whats wrong.

I thought the Lemon Law only applied to new car purchases? But you say you got it used at a Kia dealership?

Used car lemon law in nys is pretty strong! They threw me out cause i said "you had some balls to say that to my mother". They refused to fix my car after i said that when he said to my mother "the car runs :q:q:q:qing perfect when its hear and :q:q:q:q when its with you, whats wrong?"

I don’t like seeing Kia and Lincoln used in the same sentence.

There it is again.

Boys it changed names like 4 days before i got there the sign still even said Neil Lincoln Mercury, thought i found the perfect car! Can't deny fate well actually i should have

Neil Lincoln Mercury has had nothing but problems. Try another dealership and see what they say...

Yeah its stillo under warranty with the dealer thats why im bringing it there
Seems to me that under certain laws you can have work done at another dealer and still have it covered under the warranty by the dealer you bought it from.

I thought the Lemon Law only applied to new car purchases?
Lemon Laws apply to just about ANY car you buy at a retail dealer. It does differ between states though, so that may not be true in NY.

I cannot afford the repairs unless it is under warranty they made me leave the dealership today told me he refused to do the work. What do I do at this point!? My paperwork for the lemon law was sent and we are waiting on the hearing i am sure this can only help my case

If it's still under the factory 4-year/50,000 mile warranty, any Ford or Lincoln/Mercury dealership will work on it (though you'll generally want the Lincoln guys working on it, as the LS is pretty much unlike every othe Ford other than the '02-'05 T-Bird). Even if it's not still under the factory warranty, they'll still work on it, but they'll give you the bill instead of Lincoln.

If you're lemon-lawing it, there's not much you need to do. If they're refusing to honor the terms of the sale re: the warranty, that's potentially actionable (ie, you might be able to sue them), but you'd need to talk to a lawyer about that.

not to hard

first thing is come on guys if the car still has factory warranty take it to any ford dealer at it will be covered if its only through the dealer u bought it from get everything they say in writting so that you can sue them if they dont take care of it. its not that hard

if i remember right there is a ssm or tsb that extends the factory warranty on the coil packs on the ls and t bird and wiper motor cover as well bring it to a dealer and tell them about it and and they have to fix it free of charge if your out of your factory warranty and stop going to a kia dealer for your lincoln they dont know any thing about that car thay are just going to keep giving you the run around

What kind of dealer refuses to fix a car that they just sold and its crap. I'd sue without a doubt. wtf, this is making me pissed LOl ..

They said its becuase i was acting Rude this dealer is crap! I hope we win this just so i can laugh my ass off while i get my money back! 2002 ls 57k! when i first got it it had this problem
