WTF? my drivers side rear view mirror is gone

Apparently someone stole my rearview mirror? It looks like the wiring was cut, and it's just gone. I haven't driven in a few days and when I went outside to clean the snow off -- it was gone. it's not on the ground anywhere and I know it was there the last time I drove.


why the hell would someone steal that?

this is going to be ridiculously expensive to fix isn't it?

naturally, when I can least afford to replace anything. I snapped some pics, I'm not even sure how much stuff is missing. Do I need to replace the entire assembly or can I just get a new piece of glass? when I push the power adjuster I can hear the usual sound, but I don't see or feel anything moving in the housing.

I think you are going to have to find another LS and steal theirs. Just make sure you stay north of the IN, MI border when you do it

You might be able to have a piece of mirror cut. I'd say it's worth a shot to save some money. I also agree with rainjacks stay north if you plan on stealing one.

You can't just get a piece of mirror cut, the back of the mirror has an attachment plate on it, does it not? I think I see some broken clips too.

Depending as to the year and options it can be$$ 02-06 has 2 one is 80.00 the other is 182. the 99-02 is only 32.00. The motor would be an additional 30-60.00 depending on year and options.

I had a custom glass shop cut and install one for a F150 I had. It came out like %#$& and one of the guys stole a fairly nice watch out of the truck. I know its coming so I will tell you the same thing I told the shop owner; If I can trust you with my $15000. truck I should not be worried about a $500.00 watch. The police arrived shortly after that.

I had the ash tray stolen out of my pickup truck years ago. I was so pissed. What a pain in the ass to have this hole in the dashboard. And it really isn't worth buying a new one.
