im pretty upset, about 4 months ago i had a problem which seemed to be solved by replacing the alternator.... i have some subs installed and a 600 watt amp, the guys who installed it seemed too have ran it off the rear left speaker and amp too battery..... so for the past couple of days the left side of my speakers have seemed to cut out or be signifigantly less powerful then the right....but the left side would come back on freaquently.....once the alert came on too check the charging system i turned off my radio and sound still came throught the speakers at certain times, im abt too take off the alternator too see if its good too start but ne one have suggestions for me idk what too do???

First off, if the guy ran the input of the amp off of only your left speaker than the guy is an idiot. Second, using high level inputs usually don't affect the volume coming from a speaker. I'm not quite sure how he hooked up your amp but I bet the problem is because of it. As far as the charging system, these cars are real touchy. They don't let you know if the battery or alternator are going until its too late. When it does happen, all sorts of things start going wrong. It'll be like your car is possessed!

im waiting for the battery too charge too try everything with my speaker amp disconnected w/o the subs, i took the subs and amp out already and noticed the change in my speakers only when i have the ford cd changer on its weird as hell and annoying.... if things arent good then ill prolly need a new alt..again
