i got a lincoln LS V8 2000 sport package and i shifted at like 6300 rpms and i didnt want to go anymore but wut do u think it is at ?

I have only noticed it kick in right at the red line once when it would not upshift while in SST. When in park it is at 3000

Mine is at 3000 in park or neutral but soon with my new Steeda PCM Flasher I will not have to worry about it anymore. HAHA

Scott - you mean SCT not Steeda right?

I have not seen a rev limiter while in gear - I know of two LSes that are being re-built due to over-revving where they bent valves and such.

Yes sorry Quik LS i meant the SCT Xcalibrator 2 that is due out within 2 weeks. Looks pretty sweet I pumped to slap it on and try it out. I guess the 2 has all kinds of new features, that the 1 didnt have.

Sorry to miss inform I bought the SCT Flasher thru Steeda in Canada for $349. Steeda here in the states said they dont stock that flasher for the LS do to the lack of interest. WHATever I think the guy was a lazy ass!
Oh well happy to have one on its way!

Did I read this right? Will it allow us to adjust settings from the device as well as upload new tunes from dealers?

I believe so eLeS, I am super excited to tune it up!

Man this is going to be great if this turns out to be the case. It looks like a nice all-in-one tool. I am also curious to know if the OBDII scan tool function will have the Ford Extended codes for those items that fall outside the OBDII specs.

I will read their forums and see what I can find and maybe post some of these question. Most of the time they are very slow in replying.

Torque management, ie, Rev Limiter, kicks in at 6800 RPMS (also the shift point at WOT) on my 00 LS, computer code MPU7. Also, I've hit the limiter a few times in 1st...

I have a non-SST (non Sport) model.

Yeah the Xcal 2 is a pretty cool piece of equipment. Not only will it upload tunes and modify simpler settings but it also has datalogging capability(Xcal 1 didnt have this) too which is really great when trying to explore our vehicles and what does what.
