This was originally for a mustang 05 and up.

the unit is completely unmarried and unlocked,(same thing,different terminology ) you will need your catch code when buying your new tune(s)

you need to find a tuner to buy tunes from
i have heard of places charging $50 a tune,and some places offering upto 3 tunes for $50.

yes, a tuner will make a file or files for your specific car,they alter air fule ratios and timing,shift points etc.
