XCAL 2 Users

[Vivid LS]

I plugged in the Xcal 2 today and it came with the following tunes.

Perf File 1
Perf File 2+2D
Perf File 12+T

What are these. I thought there was supposed to be four tunes. I put the 12 in and seemed to feel a huge difference. I can chirp the tire between 1st and 2nd in SST mode now.
It pinged for a little bit when I first got going but it seems to havestopped now. Is this normal.
Can I order other tunes from somewhere?

From the XCal2 blurb on FastPartsNetwork:

The Xcal 2 can hold a total of 3 custom files that we build based on the vehicle type / modification list.

I haven't gotten around to budgeting for an XCal yet, but from what I've read, one of your tune slots is taken by the stock PCM program (downloaded the first time you connect the XCal2 to the car), one is for an aggressive tune, and one is in between the two.

The Xcal2 will hold 3 cutom tunes. The first time you connect it to your car and download the stock tune, it will store that tune. The stock tune does not take up any of the 3 tune slots. I did not purchase my tuner from Torrie as I had an 04 Crown Vic I had been modifying and got it from a C/V tuner. I returned my Vic to stock and purchased a tune from Torrie for the LS. I also got my PRP swapped over to the LS since I had just purchased it for the Vic and never got around to registering it. SCT was kind enough to allow me to register it for the code on the LS so I now have a Pro Racer Package for the LS. Right now I am on my 4th tune from Torrie and am loving it. He is great to deal with and appears to be the de facto expert on the LS when it comes to the Xcal2. After playing with my PRP for several days, I am impresssed he is able to make sense out of all the variables and provide a tune that wakes the LS up.

only the person that created the files can tell you all the options that are included with the files. If you got your form FastPartsNetwork just send Torrie an e-mail and ask.
