Seen multiple posts about how you’d have to drop the subframe to get the 3.9 out. While I’m sure it’s easier it’s possible to take the motor out without removing the subframe. First remove your radiator/trans cooler, fan, all coolant hoses and any other lines that may be connected to the motor. Then go under the air box on the passenger side firewall and remove the connectors for the engine harness. Remove your midpipe for your exhaust and heat shields then remove the drive shaft. Support the trans and remove the trans mount and slowly drop the jack allowing the motor and trans to tilt backwards. From there you can finally reach the bolts connecting the catalytic converter to the manifold. Remove the torque converter bolts from the transmission by the inspection cover while turning over the motor and bellhousing bolts. After you drop the transmission hookup a cherry picker and remove the two motor mount bolts located on the subframe after supporting the motor with a cherry picker and your ready to pull the motor from the top!
