Anybody done the passenger side axle, and if so how hard is it on this car. Inboard boot is toast and I am getting an intermittent clicking on turns and sometimes even during straight driving.

Dont repair your axle, just buy a reman or new from napa or other. Remove wheel-Remove big nut at the center of rotor-Remove lower ball joint-Remove outer tie rod at spindle, you might have stabilizer link to remove also, check for wires or brake lines that might get stretched as you do this, the idea is to be able to move the spindle and brake parts away from the transmission as far as possible for axle removal.. ford service book says you will need puller to remove axle from wheel, I have done this with BIG hammer, put the axle nut back on axle part way and hit it sharply. Once you get the axle out of the wheel hub you can now remove it from transmission. there is a c clip on end of axle, with a pry bar you can pop this axle from trans, just be careful where you pry so you dont crack something on transmission as you pry.. good luck
