I am deffinatly building a trunk enclosure and a nice set up. But i was thinking about possibly building some kind of custom center console. Been looking around and haven't been able to really find any at all

anybody got some pics of there custom trunk or pics of a custom console?

i know of couple members on here with custom trunks...rollin being one of them. Also on ebay there is a custom box that's made specifically for the trunk of our car. i havn't seen many custom consoles besides the custom dash spec clutch did for there car.

Dunno of anyone on Lvc with a custom console. I bet you'd find some on cardomain though.

yeah been lookin havent seen any custom consoles on car domain either

I'm working on custom sub enclosures using glass... Other things on my plate at the moment so they are kind of put on hold..

Nope. get 22's like every other LS on car domain.

i thought they all got 18s, 19s, or maybe 20s cuz thats what fit without rubbing on everything? no?[/QUO

you can put 22s on a ls without them rubbing but you just put small tires on em n not moster truck tires like the ones all you ppl put on ur 18s and 19s

monster truck tires??

No we just prefer not to ride on rim.

Hit a pothole and say goodbye to the shiny new wheel you just bought.

have you even seen adrizzles ride? he has 19's lowered and it looks aggressive and they look damn good.

to be honest i havent seen anyone on here running "monster truck" tires. the most tire people have is stock size.

anyway if you want 22's, get them. Its your car. Just dont expect most people on here to like them.

I like 22's.

But the LS isnt the right car for them. If you really want to you can make them fit an maybe not rub...but they still look too damn big.

Would you wear shoes that are too big for your feet? not the same thing but basically the dimensions of the LS arent large enough to fit them well.

On top of that it wears out the suspension and you risk warping the wheels because the tire is so skinny.. But hey what do we know right???

LOL Pek - he shoots, he scores!

+2

funny how most on car domain have giant, flashy rims and no tire under it.

if you want to put unproportional, shiny new rims oon your ls, thats cool, go for it. Stock 17's a under sized for the ls, 22' are over sized for the ls, that is why most go with 18, 19, and 20's. After that you, reduce the tire too much. You cant run the same set up you would on a charger, on an ls with the same tire protection. If you really want 22's, you'll give up a good amount of tire protection for shiny rims.

I get scared when I hit certain pot holes with my stock 17's, I can't imaging doing the same with 22's, but good luck to you when yo do.

It's probably because the most of the "elders" on this site are older and wiser than the younger snot nosed youngsters on this site who are into bling over function.

Will a 22" wheel work? Sure. Will the car still act like it did on the stock wheels? No. The suspension wasn't designed with 22's in mind. Hell, when the LS came out 18's were all the aftermarket rage.

There is a lot to be said about rotational mass differences between an 18 and a 22 inch wheel. Let's not talk about suspension and handling. And to anyone who says "Yeah? Well my car rides the same way on 22's as it did on 18's", to you, I say you're on crack. Math is universal. It doesn't change just for you.

if you seen how Britt Britt's car looked, then you wouldn't like big rims either.

the biggest is not always the best, there is a point where too much just becomes too much, the LS just isnt made for it, a lot of 20" on here start to get ridiculous, keep the 22" to vehicles that dont need to be destroyed to make it work like a truck.
