Installed KKM CAI today, piece of cake no problems. Had a squeak in my brakes, replaced the mounting hardware as the old ones seemed to be causing the squeak. Fixed the squeak but now I have rubbing coming from that wheel. Will investigate tomorrow.
What have you guys found is the best for trimming the dip. Say if your lines need cleaned up but you don't want to peel whole thing. Taking an xacto blade seems kind of risky that it would possibly scratch the real paint.
I know this kind of an old thread but I really dig this project.
When you did the McClaren grille as well as this mesh one did you just place it over the stock plastic slats or did you cut those out?
Also the yellow Lincoln emblem on the rear surround, was that a dyi or you bought?
