Changed coils #4 and #6 (V8 2005) and not a single misfire since. Don't change them all at one time if you cannot afford it.

No, the big open, rusted portion is just like my LS frame right now. I love this car and rather fix all the imperfections but $ doesn't grow on trees lol. Jacking the car up on a lift is difficult and seems unsafe according to my mechanic. Maybe I should take it to a different mechanic to be sure?

So while my mechanic prepared to remove and install new rear control arms, he was alarmed by the amount of frame rust on both sides of the vehicle to the point where he told me to just scrap the car and get a new one. The rust resembles this: What should I do? Fix the control arms and ride...

Could I just press out the old bushings and press in new ones? $680+ for a new lower control arm is kinda steep.

Can't I just change the bushings in my upper and lower control arms instead? If so, what size do I need?

Doesn't matter whichever lasts until at least 275k lol. Cheaper would be ideal.

Decided to just change both rear control arms, plan on keeping the car until at least 275k (201k currently) so might as well fix it properly. I am located in Canada...with that being said, any recommended websites to order the parts from?

What grease did you use? White Lithium Grease or just silicone spray?

Checked your thread and the sound is almost identical to that video you posted but the sound isn't emulated when I turn the wheel only when I hit minor bumps in the road. How expensive are these rear end links and are they difficult to change yourself? Also, I sprayed the right rear control...

picture says it all...part is unattached and bent upwards. My question is how did this happen? What part is this and can I change it myself without issue? This has caused loud creaking sounds in the rear for weeks.

Well, I've finally isolated the buzzing noise in my car to be the radio or subwoofer because whenever I turn off the radio the noise goes away and when I turn it back on after while when I turn the volume up and the bass kicks in the sound comes back. My question is, is this a blown subwoofer...

I believe it's coming from the rear as the 'creaking' sound only occurs when the rear of the vehicle goes up and drops down from a bump on the road/paved surface. Are rear control arms expensive? And roughly how long would it take to change them? If less than 2 hours I would get my mechanic to...

My 05 Lincoln LS V8 has recently been making a creaking noise when hitting bumps or going over bumps slowly in parking lots, etc. Could this be worn suspension components? 196k as of today. ABS light has been on for months with the 'check advance trac' message (not sure if this is related)...

I have a set of 8 motocraft coils that I have not installed yet as I changed the marignal coils with spectra coils. I do a lot of highway driving...so no issues as of 1000km so far but got the motocraft ones as back up.
