Joe, I do not think that is entirely correct. The sub amp was located on the bottom of the parcel shelf between the subs but was removed before taking the photos. The black box in the photo on top of the parcel shelf between the subs is the reverse parking aid module.

Thanks Joe. I'm going to pull the driver door cover to inspect the wiring there before taking it in. I sure don't like the idea of chasing down a wiring short if diagnostic does not point to a specific module as faulty.

Well, I disconnected the DATC and the problem persists. Either switch to roll down the passenger window causes the door ajar alarm to trip and no movement in the window. There is some noise from the passenger door window motor but I suspect it shorts out before actually rolling the window...

Same result from either switch. I have this week off and will look into it further.

I took out the DATC and radio but did not see anything amiss. No shorted wires or burning that I could see. Put it back together and ran the DATC self test again but it came back clear. Same error and non-functional hvac system. Any ideas before I replace the DATC unit?

Odd thing is even after a few days driving it now and a few hard stumbles, there is no CEL. Don't want to drive it too long with the misfire else I foul out a cat. I'll end up replacing all coils and plugs and the vcg if there is oil in the wells; just wasn't expecting to do it so soon...

I don't think the extended coil warranty covered the 06 model year. Supposedly they had it fixed by then and didn't need to cover the 06. BS. I will change all 8 plugs and coils simultaneously. Need to find some quality factory replacements to last me another 10 years and hopefully a lot...

I have the 06 with factory NAV & THX. I first replaced the head unit while retaining the factory amps and speakers; the noise remained. This is my assumption as well, that the low voltage signal was routed from the head unit near the advance track control unit at the driver side footwell...

I rewired the door speakers when I put in my aftermarket setup and the noise went away. Replaced the factory amps, head unit, door speakers, and ran all new wires.

Looks like some of the coil boot may still be in the plug well around the edges preventing the socket from engaging the plug.
