Anyone know what type of leather the Town Car uses?

Here's the skinny. The Cartier Town Car, until 2002, used Connolly leather. They closed up shop in 2002. They have used real leather since leather was first offered. The Executive and Signature trim cars use the same grade of leather, with a different sew pattern. The reason 1990-1994...

Lincoln Towncar Vs. Cadillac Deville 4.9 Vs Buick Park Avenue

A Town Car will (in the long run) be the cheapest to maintain, be the most reliable, and (depending on your driving) give you the best fuel economy. These can go 300,000+ miles before needing anything major, as long as maintenance is kept up. 1996 is a better year, as they weren't "cheapened"...

    1997 Towncar front end rebuild.

It depends on how long you want to keep the car. I'd HIGHLY recommend using only MOOG or Motorcraft parts. Granted, the Motorcraft units aren't greasable, but they will generally last as long as the originals, and the MOOG's will likely outlast them, since they are greasable, and are improved...

97SS TC Rear Air Susp Repair

Fair enough, I've known people to go both ways on that. I just buy the OE Firestone ones through eBay, they come with the new OE solenoids and O rings. That being said, if I could just get the Firestone air springs by themselves for say, $240/pr, I'd do it. The solenoids rarely go bad. I've...

    Manifold Swap

We're talking about a 1994 here, that's exempt from the exploding crossover issue. That ran from 1996-2001. Honestly, you'd be fine getting a used intake. You're the first person I've ever heard of (spent 5 years at another Lincoln forum) having a leaking intake on a pre-96 Panther. Are you...

Names of components? 2000 Lincoln Town Car.

I'd recommend you just order a new grille from Ford if you have $120 to spare. It'll be nice, shiny chrome with the Lincoln star on it, and come with new rubber. If money is tight, hit up a junkyard. You can buy an aftermarket grille for around $40 on eBay, but it will not have the Lincoln star...

    Drivers seat info needed

Does the seat tilt at least? Or does it not move at all? If it doesn't do anything, I'd find it hard to believe it all went bad so quickly. If it simply doesn't move, a new seat track assembly can be had a junkyards for under $30, motors and all. Swap it out, and if it doesn't work to your...

97SS TC Rear Air Susp Repair

Well, new OE air springs with solenoids are $300 shipped, plus an hour of your time to swap them.... Aftermarket ones can be had as cheap as $150/pr, but by the time you add the solenoids and such, might as well go OE.
