I have a 1994 Town Car thats stock. It has an intake that is starting to leak a bit. It is discontinued through Ford. Used ones would most likely end up with the same problems. Is there another itake out there thats a direct swap? Maybe one of the old 4.6L 2v Mustangs or an aftermarket one that works on the Mustang might swap in directly?

I hate to retire the old girl over an itake but at some point the money becomes an issue on my daily driver.

I have a toy to play with on weekends, but my TC is my work horse

I did the PI intake swap. Use the PI gaskets with RTV in the corner of the water jackets. Use the PI coolant crossover tube under the intake and nipple from behind the water pump to the tube. You can reuse your top alternator bracket but have to drill a few holes in it to bolt to the PI intake. I have a 99 with COP so you might have to do something different with the bracket since you have plug wires. Also, I don't know if the thermostat housing will be an issue for you. It wasn't for me but some say there is a clearance issue. I think I had about $200 invested with all parts and supplies doing it myself. I think GMAN can get you an intake. http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=86844

We're talking about a 1994 here, that's exempt from the exploding crossover issue. That ran from 1996-2001.

Honestly, you'd be fine getting a used intake. You're the first person I've ever heard of (spent 5 years at another Lincoln forum) having a leaking intake on a pre-96 Panther.

Are you sure it's the intake, and not a gasket failure? That's possible if the coolant wasn't maintained.

On a pre-96 car, I wouldn't even think twice about grabbing a used intake if I needed one. On a 96-01.....if it had the updated crossover, I'd go for it, otherwise, I'd stay far away.

And I've had 2 intake manifold gaskets blow. The second one was the last straw.
I have never heard of the dumb aluminum ones leaking.
