That is awesome!! And works out well. I have decided to go with air ride on my S-type because mine is the 2003.5. From my reasurch the only thing that change on the STR is the lower control arm in the front. So your front upper should workfor me. I am currently working on designing a lower rear...
Hello everyone I'm an enthusiastic Jaguar S-type owner in the LA area (Silver Lake). I'm interested in designing aftermarket parts for the S-type. Things like high flow fuel rails, carbon fiber intake systems, body kits, coilovers, strut bars front and rear, exhaust, engine/transmission...
It may be sophisticated but it isn't adjustable. The S-type is a heavy car and has a lot of body roll making you feel not so confident in the corners. You can't adjust the ride height witch is the main reason for me.
I would rather build a sophisticated suspension and break set up that I can...
I have this set up as I have the exact suspension. It will be much more trouble and possibly more money to do this than you think. If you guys can run a stoptech break system and now a fully adjustable coil over....... well lets just say I'm now looking to convert my car to your set up. If you...
I'm not seeing what your seeing. At the bottom of our shock the mount is "U" shaped. On all the pics in the coilover thread it is a round tube like mount with the bushing inside.
It might not be worth it. I have a S-type sport with the same suspension as the S-type "R". I wanted to convert to the "R" Brembos. So I went out and pieced together the calipers, rotors, front spindles and hubs. I also got the entire rear end off the "R" (all very hard to find and very...
well here is a pic of the S-type sport and "R" shock with the CATS system. Notice the bottom mount is different. Does any of your cars have a lower mount like this?
That is what I have done. I took the front spindles, hubs, rotors, and calipers as well as the entire rear end including parking breaks (cables and servo for parking switch) from an S-type "R". I've custom painted them and polished the break lines. The uppers and lower "A" arms are the same in...
There is one other factor to consider. The S-Type sport and R both come with the CATS (computer assisted technology system) struts, and I'm almost positive that the mounts are different. Does your cars have anything like this? It adjust dampening while driving.
Please help spread the word. If the 2002 doesn't work out for me and the 2003 set up on the LS and S-type are the same I will also be looking for some people to ban together to have them made.
If we can get enough LS owners and jaguar owners together someone will build them.
I'm looking for some options here guys. I just came from the Jag Forum. Over there I found out that you guys now have a reasonably priced coilover for the 2000-2002 LS. I'm trying to find out if the mounts are the same on my Jaguar S-type 2003 V8 with CATS system. I don't care if the cats works...
Just came from Jag forum
So the word on our forum is you guys have a full coilover set up. You lucky bastards. The only problem is the manufacture "Stance-usa" makes it for 2000-2002 Lincoln LS. I need to know if the upper and lower mounts are the same in 2003.
Does anyone have a pic...
