Just throwing this out there. Have you verified the temp?
Bad grounds will cause all kinds of misreads on sensors. If you can replicate the problem sitting in a parking lot, have a scan tool thrown on it and see what the actual temp is. It does not appear to be displaying signs of overheating...
There are liquid cooled heat sync kits. You would just have to run 2 small hoses to the back of a body panel and provide a 5w pump some power.

I've seen these for under 25 bucks from international sources.
In glad that's working out for you. I have had 2 cars inspected with clean title that ended up having frame damage. It's worth the 50 bucks to take it to a mom and pop mechanic to have a once over.
I would start at 4k and hold to 5. All they can say is no. Push on having the issues fixed for 6k. Have an inspection done by the dealer with quote for repairs first. Use that number as leverage. Also leverage lack of maint records. Coils and plugs are due and cost about a grand for the service...
You can do better than that. I picked mine up for 5k (way low I know). Fair market value on that one is closer to 6k. I'd work the angles on the issues. I would not walk away yet but that car better be a steal for the issue list.
I agree with the above. As a new ls owner, I knew that I was getting into.
I found a 2005 with 60k on the clock. I have owned it for less than a week at at his point. To get her up to date on maint and new tires it took 1800 in parts and labor. I did most of the labor myself. Plan to start out...
Got everything in today.
Put her all back together. Running great. New Coils and plugs made a huge difference.
Had to install this monster today. The LS hauls tools and equient much better than my rx8 did.
Thanks for all your help guys.
Replaced plastic cooling components.
Put the intake and such back on from last weeks coil and plug change
Drove her through our warehouse where I had to install a Hi Voltage tester.
Buffed out some scratches and such too. Busy day.
I sent my rx-8 oil off to black stone labs after 5000 miles. It was still well within spec. Rotaries are some of the worst for polluting oils since they scrape the burnt oil back into the sump. I bet the Lincoln's oil would be fine well past 5k especially full synthetic.
Thanks!
Here are the correct parts for the job... Im also replacing the belt as some coolant splashed on the existing one. I ordered from Rock Auto for Future Googlers, Its not the bypass hose its the upper assembly.

Hi Guys and Gals,
I need some help identifying a part but first I wanted to introduce myself. I purchased my 2005 LS V6 with 60k last week and so far I have gone through some of the trouble spots I am aware of before making it my daily driver. I have always liked the LS. When I saw this one...
Today: driver side coils and plugs. Pcv valve
Tomorrow: removal of the intake and pass side coils and plugs. Need stupid plastic elbow for the pcv. I broke the original trying to get it off the old one.
Btw. On the intake removal, do I need to swap out the gasket or use any sort of sealant...
