Actually come to think I did change the master cylinder a few months ago because the brake peel would slowly creep to the floor. The problem was still there after the new master and I've still got that issue now. I heard a "buzz" type noise when the abs light first came on
I haven't changed the module nor have I changed the speed sensor because with all these codes comming at the same time I feel like it's somthing electronic but who knows what
Hi all. 2001 Lincoln LS. V8
2 Nights ago my lincoln's "abs" and "brake" lights came on. I scanned the codes and they came up
c1233
c1805
U1262
Now iv looked up what the codes represent but I cant help but think with the "U" code referring to Bus, that it seems like a plug wiggled...
Thank you! One more question. Only one side oof the engine is out if time, so theoretically if I pull both valve covers and align the flats on the side that is in tome, would that also be tdc? I'm assuming the Flatts on both sides of the engine should align the same at the same time?
I'm either horrible at searching, or I'm missing somthing. I'm trying to set the engine at tdc to do a timing job on a 2000 ls 3.9l and I have it close with the old school screw driver in cylinder 1, but how can I verify that I am indeed at tdc?
What if im not doing the whole chain and just trying to re-align? Ive yet to see what these cams look like but if i remove the tensoner is there enough play to rotate one cam to re align it?
I have a Lincoln ls 3.9L and its been verified that the timing is off on one cam gear causing a lean condition and a low idle missfire, Sadly its not worth it to pay to have the chains done for what the cars worth so ive decided to trade my baby in after the winter. My question is, Is it...
I thought I replied to this but i guess not lol. Mechanic said one side of the engine is misfiring at low rpm's hes suspecting either that side has jumped time or the chain is so stretched its causing this issue. My question is, is it possible that if i pull the valve cover and verify timing is...
Well got some bad new on the LS today, Mechanic said one side of the engine is misfiring at low rpm's and hes suspecting either timing has jumped a tooth or the chains severely stretched. Ive been looking but cant seem to find any timing chain write ups?
Fuel Filter was just changed fuel pressure is all good. The engine is missing from both sides of the engine. both exhausts are "put put put" theres no cross over pipes or x pipes so if it was a clogged cat it would only miss on one side of the motor
Brakes seem to be fine now. The smoke test also found a broken O-Ring that he has replaced. Did a compression test and everything was in spec. Not sure about a leak down but i would assume so. Cars still throwing bank 2 lean code.
Next step is going to be verifying timing, its just odd...
I took the car to a local shop, he said he didnt think it was a timing issue. Ran a smoke test and ended up replacing an O ring and 2 seals on the throttle body but its still running like crap!
valve timing as in a bad sensor making the ecu changing timing or as in timing chain jumped? is that even possible with these motors without them blowing up?
