Hi all. 2001 Lincoln LS. V8

2 Nights ago my lincoln's "abs" and "brake" lights came on. I scanned the codes and they came up

c1233
c1805
U1262

Now iv looked up what the codes represent but I cant help but think with the "U" code referring to Bus, that it seems like a plug wiggled loose somewhere or something. I cleared the codes and the lights immediately come back on when the cars started so im thinking its something electrical. Im planning to put some electric grease on the plug for the abs module and check some fuses today. Any thoughts?

C1233 is the left ABS Speed Sensor. I know, because I have C1233 and C1234 (C1234 being the right ABS Speed Sensor) and as of right now, which is causing my airbag light to blink. U1262 is some kind of communication failure between PCM and everything else. I also have that code, but have yet to figure out what is causing it. Oh look, I also have C1805, which is the ABS module failing (presumably). If I were to link all these together, the ABS module is probably to blame for 3/4 of the codes I have, and may explain the 2/3 codes you have, expect for the "U" code, which I could only imagine how expensive that sounds (or complicated).

I don't think I'll ever understand the vauge ABS codes. I pulled two off of mine and still have no clue what to fix. Mine said simethging about a GEM...

Did you replace your ABS module? The second code says it's mismatched?

Hopefully an ABS guru will step in!

I haven't changed the module nor have I changed the speed sensor because with all these codes comming at the same time I feel like it's somthing electronic but who knows what

That's why after running the codes you follow the diagnostic flow chart. You'll need a service CD you can obtain from eBay.....

Actually come to think I did change the master cylinder a few months ago because the brake peel would slowly creep to the floor. The problem was still there after the new master and I've still got that issue now. I heard a "buzz" type noise when the abs light first came on
