Well well, apparently 10 amp fuse number 25 was the culprit classified as demand lamps / power saver relay. Hope someone may find this useful as after replacement all is well until I replace the lamp again, fingers crossed.
Update: Had an early morning trip and although my lights come on in the car when I open the door, when I manually hit the map light on either side they don't work, but if I use the dash switch to activate the lights front and back do come on. Also my lights in the vanity mirrors are out too. I...
Really weird question, but I can't seem to find the location of the fuse for my trunk light. I was going to replace the bulb and was pulling the working bulb out since the whole bulb housing must come out and I heard a little electric spark and no more power there. It seems to have taken out the...
:)My car was repairable and from the great suggestions from an email I received from a super contributor from this forum I went to Terry Johnson Autobody and was taken care of with a great, great repair. I was very happy with the outcome and attention I was given....thanks Ray.....:)
I am sooooo sad, my beautiful car is a beauty no more. When it happened I seemed to drift off in a shocked emulsification. I just pulled over afterwards and about had a stroke on the spot from the grief.
It was impossible not to hit the creature unless I was going to crash into the car driving...
Any ideas gents on both fans not coming on even when I turn on the A/C.... luckily I was paying attention and she did not heat up too bad, but we can't figure out why they won't come on. The fans work when direct power is applied, any ideas? Last time this happened to me years ago it was my...
It seems that you don't need the pricey "electronic" shocks but just a pair of lower priced ones, from what I have seem even ones off a newer Taurus or Sable would work even. You just need "basic" shocks but You have air ride struts it seems. Which you can find on eBay for around 100.00 or less...
Thanks Drew, but I am afraid to report that my condition is a little more serious...my kidneys have been failing and my condition is getting a bit worse. Diabetes did a nasty trick to me and I have been fighting the battle, but thank you so much for the kind words. I hope to meet up with you all...
Thank you for your reply and suggestions as well. I do appreciate the time time you took out to send me a reply and friend request. I would have responded sooner but I have been somewhat under the weather as of late.
Funny that we are in the same area, hope to eventually hook up so you can see...
I would love to keep the look and sound of my JBL factory system and I don't need or use the CD changer, but I use a high quality tape deck line in converter to use for my smart phone or ipod. I was wondering if anyone has an idea or can suggest something to use for a direct line in the CD like...
Hi guys,
Can anyone kindly point me to the location and possibly tell me the difficulty of replacement of the Blower motor for the AC / Heat for this beautiful car. I found the one for the Town Cars but am having no luck in finding the location on our fabulous Continentals. Youtube has abunch...
I appreciate your reply but I have a few concerns. Price and or extra parts. What would you say about the difference in price say $100.00 (Arnott) to $60.00 or less (competitor) per side in money savings and did you get all you needed like O-rings and such with your Arnott purchase alone? I am...
Hi guys,
Finally there seems to be a leak in my beloved 98 Conti and I am quite bummed, but nevertheless I want to keep the quality air ride, and fortunately it still rises and holds. The leak is slow and was found out after the recent cold spell here in Ohio, but I am not sure exactly what is...
So I can access the shock from the wheel well in the trunk then? If not, I assume I have to remove the back tire? Please forgive my ignorance; I appreciate all suggestions.
Also I am tempted to buy a 265,000 mile 98 Conti from a guy who used it as a daily driver for 4 years and did all of his...
Thanks for the replies.
I too am searching for the clunking, thus the questions. It is very annoying in an otherwise nice car; I see I am not alone in this endeavor. I was really hoping to improve my ride quality. You have really given me something else to look over regarding the rear ball...
Truly hoping someone can answer this question; my 98 has the rear air ride suspension that is original and works fine, but the shocks in the rear are original as well with over 178,000 miles on them too. I would like to change them but they are the electronic controlled ones that let you select...
