I went for a 2007 VW Jetta which will give me an extra 6-7 MPG's more on average as I do mostly hwy. I wanted something more nimble, smaller, fun to drive, & more in place as something a 24 y/o should drive. It's also something I can still see myself driving 3 yrs from now & won't be harsh...
Well, I sold my 2002 Lincoln Continental 2 weeks ago & I made a tribute video a while back where I show off better pictures of the car. Just wanted to share it with you all here.

Well, I have been so antsy to do this Cold Air Intake mod to my car for some time. I'm looking for suggestions as I'm sure some of you here have done this mod to your 1995-2002 Conti.
I just want the added benefits & to hear a beefier sound coming from under the hood when accelerating...
Well I Experimented & went ahead disconnecting both woofers. Then took some speaker wire a made like a bridge joining both pos & neg wires. From there I jumped over to box woofer. It actually sounds great, & acutally shakes the license plate LOL which wasnt my goal but it sure sounds world...
I'm 23 y/o & I just got a 1 Owner FL Owned 2002 Lincoln Continental with 130K.
It's been a 4 yr or so Dismiss since the last 98 & 01 Continentals I drove & gawd I sure feel good being back.
Wow I never thought I'd have the chance to come back here with a Continental again. Anyways, I've recently purchased a 1 Owner 2002 Continental with Everything in perfect shape with 130k for $2900. The owner was a complete maniac at keeping this car in top shape.
I'v put up vids of my Conti...
I haven't had a Continental for almost 4 years but................
When I had my 98, it had 118K on it, In 14 months I put 33K on it. I sold it With 151K.
Biggest Issues was just the Front Wheel bearing Hub. $55 + a spring compressor @ Advanced Auto parts so I could change it. I did that...
Anyone here know if the 95-97 Continental climate controls fit and work on 95-97 Lincoln Town Car's???? The one in my 96 Town Car doesn't send out signal to cool anymore.
Visually they all look alike and the rear connections look the same.
There's many cheap Climate controls for...

Sounds like u'll need a rebuild first.

Well, it seems my dads 96 TC has a weak Climate Control. It would work for a few minutes and then stop cooling. It does have sufficient Freon, the fuzes are fine.....................Does anyone know if the Manual Climate control (Non Digitalized) like those found in Base Model Grand...
I always used Bosch Platinum sparks with the double Contacts. The Bosch come pre-gapped and don't need any adjustments. And sometime the Autolite platinum spark-plugs (Those may need gapping). Both are very good.
Stay away from any Cooper core spark plugs. Had trouble with those and paid...
Nothing different. When I first had my 98 and then my 2001, I mostly called it The Continental since it is a nice name. And also The Black Car since both of them were black.
Don't know what kind of sound u're after but I always thought the door speakers on both the JBL and Alpine setups work very well and support high volume. Like said, only the rear deck woofers sounded terrible on the Alpine systems.
The Base model Stereo ( None upgraded Speaker ) setup...
The Older JBL system was best and was last used in 98 Continental.
Back then when I first got hands on a 2001, it had the Alpine setup. But I thought the Bass was terrible and distorted with anything thrown at it. But Really, the 2 Rear sub-Woofers under the rear deck are really AUDIOPHILE...
Well, before doing a cold start. Pop the hood open, ( With some help) bend over some over the engine & listen on the side where the trans is. Have someone start the car. If you hear the Grinding/whining sound & it goes away after it warms, then it's the torque converter.
Another way to test is...
Torque converters for those trans cost about $100-$175. The Expensive part is the work. Those Intech engines are big heavy monsters and there's little space to work.
It could be a more or less $600-$1200 job if all you need is a Torque Converter.
Thats your Torque Converter going out. If it only does this at startup, it will soon begin to do it much longer after prolong use.. Then it will begin making the noises while driving. It will later effect performance like slowing down your car and the torque converter can begin shuddering...
I changed to intechdude300 on youtube.
Mostly Ford/Lincoln Related videos, & a Topped out 2001 Continental to shut-up Caddy fans.
