no one will hire me because I have 18 years experience and they can hire guys half my age with little experience for alot less. oh well maybe next year.

I understand that... not so sound mean or anything but I am happy for seniority. Schools around here have been cutting staff like crazy. They'd have to get through to me. I have a good friend who left the classroom for a principal job... they cut his position this year after 2 years. He's screwed... about 15 years of teaching an he's looking like crazy, has 5 kid and no job.

Any job he gets he's the low man, and nobody will pay him his years of experience.
