02 Ls electrical problem.

My 02 has an Issue. ( I am not home so details are sketchy) But My step daughter says that when she turns on the heater , it runs for a bit then the door ajar light comes on and the heater quits. ???? About three weeks ago the drivers side power seat quit working. What module controls what? Thanks.

Different modules for each of those functions. You might check the SSP relays in the trunk. Also, check the alternator and battery condition.

No such thing on the LS.
There is the instrument cluster. It has nothing to do with the climate control.
There is the FEM. (Front electronic module) It controls the lights and a few other things. Not related to the cluster or the climate control. What is it that you are thinking is a "instrument controller"?

Just an article I found about control modules. To be totally honest, the new tech on these cars now a days leaves me befuddled . I am a points and condensor type of guy. I guess thats why I am asking.

The LS does weird things when the battery voltage starts dropping. Measure DC volts at the battery with the engine running. It should be about 14.2 volts. Below 13.8 is a problem. 15 and above is a problem. If the DC voltage is okay, then switch to AC voltage. It should be less than 0.1 volt.
