I have a 00 lincoln ls an i got it from a junk yard for 800 bucks but i have been having some problems like the car die's when driving everything go's out an the charge system light is on but i think the problem was my alternator was bad so i wanted to know if i could fit a 03-06 alternator the oem alternator is 110 output an the 03-06 is 150 output dont know what to do!!!
 
I dont believe so. Joe CMIIR but the alts are read differently by the PCM...
 
You bought a Lincoln LS from a junk yard? There's your first mistake right there..
 
No, gen I and gen II alternators do not exchange. They use very different control strategies.
 
yea i know i shouldnt have got it but i had a plan an still do the car was on the road then got in to an finder bender lol but its coming along just need to fix the dieing problem an then ill be set can sale it an go get me a bmw or something foreign

I hope it's nothing more than just an alternator. My LS had the same problem and it wasn't the alternator. It was an issue with the whole electrical system.
