Ok.... got rid of my 00 LS and bought a 03 LS w/ 30K. It has a roar... sounds like from the pass. side rear.... at 80 mph. I have an appointment with the dealer on Mon to fix some other minor issues and want to have some sort of idea what it could be before I go in. Any thoughts?

hey man..... i'm gonna try to give ya some insight on this problem.... i worked at a lincoln dealership for some time so i've seen my share of tricky problems on these things...... we had a car with a very similar sounding problem.... and it was super tough to figure out...... what we finally did to fix it was replaced the rear driveshaft and the carrier bearing (where the two pieces of the drive shaft meet) these driveshafts are precision balanced and if it is out of balance you can get a vibration very similar to if your wheel is outta balance at high speeds...... my guess would be start in that area......

had a similar problem on my civic couple years back.... my alignmont was out of place and it only did it if i go past like 65 because it starts spinning too fast and rubbing against something
ok..... its at the dealership as we speak... so we will find out what they say.
it roars at 80.... drove it yesterday on the interstate for about 100 miles and it starts at 80 and its loud.
Other issues are..... console latch broken, rearview mirror loose, trim pieces inside up the door post... fabric coming loose. Stupid stuff... i love my ls but quality is lacking..... good thing it is still under warranty.
