I have an 03 LS, 3.9, that was having some shifting issues so i took it to a highly recomended trans shop in my area. He has rebuilt the trans, replaced the computer and still can't get the trans to shift right. They are claiming that there is some type of electrical problem that is causing the line pressure to build which in turn is causing the hard shifts. Does this make sense to anyone or does anyone have any ideas as to a possible cure??

The cure is to take it to someone with good experience specifically with the LS. This isn't one of those chain transmission places is it?

No, It was a transmission shop that came highly recomended for both normal and performance transmissions.

Hard shifts are usually due to a bad solenoid assembly in the transmission.
Weird electrical problems can often be traced to one or more marginal COPs (ignition coils). They create electrical noise that can cause many strange things. If you have more than 60K miles on the coils, it is probably time to change all of them and all of the spark plugs at the same time. However, I think your shift pressure issues are inside the transmission, specifically the solenoid assembly.

Yeah, I have less than 20,000 on the plugs and coils so I don't think that has anything to do with it.
